APLUS USA’s staff was greatly helpful in guiding me through the transfer admissions process to several business schools across the country. I worked with David Grosskopf, one of APLUS’s Harvard-educated staff members, who led me on one-on-one brainstorming sessions for my admissions essays outlining. This was very helpful in getting my admissions essays to par with what I knew would be a highly competitive admissions process. Airi Kato, Johns Hopkins Class of 2016
I was a UW sophomore majoring in pre-business when I came across APLUS USA’s excellent services. At the time, I was struggling with my accounting class, because my father had just been diagnosed with cancer. APLUS USA’s staff were friendly, helpful, and sympathetic to my situation. APLUS USA showed me how to navigate the complex registration system to drop my class after the last drop deadline, through an extraordinary circumstances exception. They later taught me how to use the seldom-used cross-registration system for the local community colleges that would allow me to retake the accounting course, in which I got a 3.9 the second time around, thanks to APLUS USA’s excellent supplemental instruction. Thanks to APLUS USA’s help with understanding my accounting coursework, I procured an excellent paid summer internship as a finance administrator in a hospital in China. Thanks to their interviewing workshops, I beat out numerous other candidates to get a job as a housing program coordinator this fall. I cannot recommend APLUS USA’s services enough!

Laura Umetsu is a teacher who is very responsible and has perfect communication skills. She was my writing coach when I was trying to get into the University of Washington School of Business. She coached me once a week to prepare for the Writing Skills Assessment Exam, which is a mandatory part of the application to get into the UW School of Business. She really helped me out with her analytical and creative thinking skills. She could be a great asset for you!

When I first arrived Seattle, my mind was filled with full of worries how my college life would be like. I was worrying not only because I cannot speak English well, but also because I had no idea about how I can get friends I can hang out with. APLUS helped me to remove those worries I had. The most difficult thing for me in the college was to write a paper. Though I wasn’t good at grammar, and made a lot of mistakes, APLUS encouraged me to find those mistakes on my own, and let me work on it before they do it for me. I am now graduated from Washington State University, and returned to Japan. I know I can make the best use of those skills I have learned in APLUS in my professional life.

Students, It’s summer break, and you’re probably doing things that are not school. Perhaps you are in school, but you find that your classes are smaller, more laid back, and professors grade more leniently as a result. This is the perfect time…
